Tips to a Slam Dunk Final Four Party
As the brackets get smaller and our team picks start to dwindle (for most of us, at least), we head further into the 2012 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament this weekend. By Sunday evening, we will know who’ll be playing in the Final Four in New Orleans on March 31st and April 2nd. With that being said, have you started thinking your Final Four party plans? Here are a few tips to make sure you have a winning party!
Tips to a Slam Dunk Final Four Party
1. Have Good Timing. If you’re hosting, make sure to have your guests arrive before the game starts. No one likes it when someone enters the room at the end of an exciting play or after a game has begun. If you’re a guest, being on time for tip-off is a must.
2. Watch it BIG. Whether hosting or attending a Final Four Party, make sure there’s a large widescreen TV (preferably HD) on hand. It brings the game right in the room and makes the viewing experience that much more exciting!
3. Post the Brackets. Keep your brackets going! Create a large 2012 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Bracket or buy one to post on a wall by the television. Fill in with the winners and have guests write their names next to their chosen teams for the final games.
5. Bring on the Stadium Food.
Provide easy, yet fun stadium-inspired snacking foods like nachos, popcorn, hotdogs with toppings for guests. Supply different drinks options including beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Be sure to have a veggie tray on hand, too! Lastly, don’t forget to have a basketball-themed dessert. I’m loving this Basketball Cake Pop Recipe or if you want to get serious, why not purchase these “Slam Dunk” cookies from Eleni’s in NYC.By the way, go Hoosiers!
