Meet Deb, Senior Research & Development Manager

I came to Creative Converting on a lark, wanting to move back to Indianapolis to be closer to my son.  Since coming here I have been on a wild ride of hugely diverse projects – a great way to use my experience and also to learn new skills. Since I’m most happy with variety, my job is just what I need to stay interested!  Honestly, what keeps me coming back day after day are my colleagues in Indianapolis & Wisconsin. We all work hard, but find a way to make things fun and creative – after all, we are a party goods company!

Most Memorable Birthday:  On my 16th birthday my mom planned a surprise party for me.  I went downstairs to get her a soda and my friends were sitting in the dark. They were all “too cool” to say anything so I didn’t notice them for a few seconds and then someone said a quiet “surprise”. It was awkward at the time, but when I think back to it, it makes me giggle. It turned out to be a great night!

Favorite Party Item: I think parties are a great place to meet new people. I know it’s not an “item” but if new people are there, I’m guaranteed to have my social craving satisfied!

Top 3 Party Must-Haves:  The obvious choice is food – something salty and something sweet makes me pretty happy.  BUT in order to eat/serve food you need to have the right table and serveware to make it easy to serve, eat and clean up.  Anything that is disposable to make things easier to clean up is a must for me, and creating a theme with the right disposable plates, napkins & cups, makes it even better!

Favorite Place to Get Party Inspiration: I love to browse Pinterest for party ideas, and often I’ll look at saraspartyperfect.com or htwm.com, too.  I love discovering the details, which I NEVER think of on my own!
